How often should I service my aircond?
For residential units in Malaysia, we recommend a General Service every 6 months. If you use your aircond daily for more than 8 hours (like in a bedroom) or live near a construction site/busy road, servicing every 3 to 4 months will help maintain cooling efficiency and lower your TNB bill.
Does my aircond gas need to be refilled every time I service?
No. This is a common myth. In a healthy, properly installed system, the refrigerant gas circulates in a closed loop and should not “run out.” We only recommend a gas top-up if our pressure gauge shows it is low, which usually indicates a minor leak that needs to be sealed.
Why is my aircond leaking water?
Water leaking is usually caused by a clogged drainage pipe. Over time, dust and dirt turn into “jelly” or slime that blocks water from flowing out. A General Service or Chemical Overhaul will clear this blockage and stop the leaking immediately.
What is the difference between General Service and Chemical Overhaul?
A General Service is routine maintenance where we clean the filters and covers. A Chemical Overhaul is a deep-clean where we dismantle the entire unit to wash the internal cooling coils and drainage parts with specialized chemicals. This is necessary if your unit hasn’t been serviced in over a year or isn’t cooling well.
Can a dirty aircond really increase my electricity bill?
Yes, significantly! When your unit is clogged with dust, the compressor has to work twice as hard to reach your target temperature. Research shows that a well-maintained aircond can save you up to 20% to 30% on monthly electricity costs compared to a dirty one.
Do you provide a warranty for your services?
Absolutely. We provide a 30-day workmanship warranty. If your aircond experiences the same issue (like leaking or not cooling) within 30 days of our service, our team will come back to troubleshoot and fix it at no extra cost to you.
How long does a typical service take?
